Dental Veneers in Albania

What are veneers?

Dental veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells that are attached to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They’re often made from porcelain or resin-composite materials and are permanently bonded to your teeth.

Veneers can be used to treat a number of different cosmetic concerns, including chipped, broken, discolored, or smaller-than-average teeth.

Some people may only get one veneer in the case of a broken or chipped tooth, but many get between six to eight veneers in order to create an even, symmetrical smile. The top front eight teeth are the most commonly applied veneers.

Different types of veneers!

Porcelain Veneers perfectly mimic the light-reflecting properties of natural teeth and resist stains better.  They are made of ceramic materials, are completely custom, and can last 10 to 15 years.

Porcelain veneers can be replaced with composite resin veneers for a more natural look. They’re constructed of the same substance as tooth-colored cavity fillings.

Porcelain veneers are slightly more expensive than composite veneers. That’s because composite veneers can normally be produced in a short amount of time, making them a same-day therapy option.

Lumineers are a brand of ultra-thin (0.2 mm) and transparent veneers. They are even more accurate than porcelain veneers in terms of the shape and color of natural tooth enamel. Because Lumineers are so thin, no tooth reduction or recontouring is required. They can last up to 20 years, instead of 10-15 years that porcelain veneers last.

Removable veneers (custom-made snap-on) are less invasive, non-permanent, and cost less than traditional veneers. Upper and lower molds are made of a patient’s teeth, similar to clear aligners, and can be removed at any time. Even though composite and porcelain veneers have a long lifespan, they aren’t guaranteed to last 5 to 15 years.

Permanent veneers, also called temporary veneers, are irreversible because dentists have to remove part of the tooth’s enamel. Removable veneers do not require tooth reduction. However, non-permanent veneers can be uncomfortable, do not blend in as well with your natural teeth, and must be replaced often.
